Jay and Karla Wentworth are both originally from Battle Creek, MI. in 2016 Jay felt called to pursue a Masters of Divinity after being a teacher for 13 years. He began at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2017 and received his degree in May of 2021. Jay was a youth and worship arts pastor at Hillside Wesleyan Church in Cedar Rapids, IA from 2019 until July of 2023. The love of his life Karla has worked in the non profit sector as a board liaison and executive administrative assistant for over 15 years and has also worked as a church administrator, a credit union teller, and in a school office. Karla enjoys crocheting, loving on her kitties, and spending quality time with family and friends. Jay loves to play music on his trumpet, guitar, or piano, sing, play golf, and is an avid Detroit Lions fan.
